Bidar Royal Tombs
Royal artistic patronage at Bidar is best exemplified in the royal and saintly and funerary complexes that surround the city. Later Bahmani rulers are buried in a series of mausoleums at Ashtur, just east of Bidar. The Barid Shahis are buried in another necropolis west of the city walls. In general both the political and artistic environment in Bidar reflected increased contacts with the Persian and Central Asian world.
