Entrance Arches
Arches supported by hexagonal stone pillars mark the five entrances in the east wall. Corresponding to these entrances are five mihrab niches in the west wall contained within multifoil arches. The cornice and the parapet are straight unlike later mosques where the cornice becomes curved. Similarly, the brick-built domes above are bell-shaped here but become completely spherical in later Muslim architecture.
