Shaith Gombuz Masjid
The walls of this mosque are remarkably severe compared to later Khan Jahani buildings. The parapet has only a single moulding with a line of rotated squares. The walls are unadorned except for the entrance arches which have terracotta roundelsand rows of ornamentation above the enclosing rectangular frame. This ornamentation is at its most intricate in the east wall, seen here, where the main entrance is further marked by additional roundels placed outside the rectangular frame. The arch at the centre is slightly higher than the rest.
