Base Friezes These two rows of panels run across the facade onto the engaged columns and the free-standing column of the porches. The themes are Krishnalila and processions of dieties on their vahanas in the upper row and hunting scenes below. The Krishna stories include (from left to right) the Putana raksasi scene, churning of milk, bakasura, and the vastraharana scene. Hunting scenes show men on horses hunting deer, and a palki procession.
